Did many interesting things today!! Hrm..yeah..wasn't too enthu abt the morning tho but it seemed to have worked out fine!
Well...a tribute to Ben who was so kind, to come and pick me up from my place this morning at 8 so tt we cld go for mass at Holy Cross and then meet Fr JP after tt. Guess cos according to last sem's experience he probs knows tt I'm the kind damn hard to wake up and perhaps he felt i was so poor thing had to go all the way to Holy Cross for something rather unpleasant so he took pity on me... ;p But anyway, whatever the reason, I am grateful!
So, the meeting with Fr JP went relatively well, altho I've kinda learnt to take everything he says wif a pinch of salt cos it's all too easy to fall into the "don't worry everything will turn out fine" mode, and no need to worry but seriously man, things don't work tt way...as we have all seen so far. And some sorta bad news...is tt i've suddenly become producer, from assistant director. So...am v v worried. I mean, as much as I try not to be emotional I can't seem to have found the right balance to handle pple. I'm juz so afraid I'll be stepping on pple's toes. So u all hafta help me ah! (Shane, Mel, Ben) if not i will so die lor.
Yar...then after tt went to meet Weilin, Chonghan, Angel for lunch. Avi was supposed to join us but poor girl was rather unwell. But we did eventually meet for coffee...which unfortunately Mr Chonghan cldn't make it cos he had Jap class. Yup..had a nice afternoon, after which I bought the Forbidden City cd!!! =) And Avi's getting it autographed by Kit Chan for me tonight!! Yay!!
Hehe...also met Dwayne for a while and asked him to autograph mine too....since he is a good singer and we worked together before (plus he's cute!! even if gay) kekeke and I was perfectly calm about it. Didn't make a bloody fool of myself even tho I did feel quite paiseh meeting him and asking him to "please autograph my cd"(think little girl voice) Heh.
So tt was quite gd i think!! Spent some quality time wif the pple whom I haven't done in sometime... and got to listen to Avi's stories abt the backstage pple and all. Sigh...so envious lor!! I guess for me....it'd be pretty exciting to be involved in such a musical as big a scale as this! And u know what? Today's their last nite(altho sadded) but it was sold out!!! Good for them!
Then I had another thought....it's like all of a sudden I'm given the opportunity for on-site theatre work...and it's not juz the pathetic volunteering of FOH or stage crew only...pple actually are willing to give me the chance to prove my abilities or willing to lemme try out new things! And this change is brought abt mainly thru my participation in the Sondheim course. It gave me so much more confidence and fueled my passion for theatre. And of course it inspired me seeing how brilliant all these pple are. And can u imagine? I'd never haf done this class if I'd still been wif Jix. So tts a real gd thing tt came out of the breakup. (altho not the only gd thing la...)
Alrighty...am crapping liao..shall stop here..need to go slp!

Oh oh!! and silly me forgot one of the other purposes of putting up a post!
On the 18th I went to watch Forbidden City at the esplanade with Jiayee and Yaling and I really must say tt it's a superb musical and all those who haven't caught it....go watch!! Seriously man! I only paid like $26 for my tix and had a pretty good view! Altho it wasn't like front row seats but it was a better seat than wedding banquet and like less than half the price somemore! So the trick is to book under student price..which u can do online and they've extended their run till 28th Sept so do go and watch man...it's really amazing for a local production!
Kit Chan's singing is superb and the costumes and all are really beautiful. The set is rather simple but very well used and it's really just fantastic! It's not tt I have any connections with them but I guess i'd juz like to promote a really gd show. I mean, it's not avant garde and really accessible to pple who feel they're "not the theatre going type" or the "uncultured" type. After all, I feel theatre is not supposed to be exclusive! So all u pple who are considering watching.....go go go!!

Yellow yellow everybody...
haven't really had the time to post anything of late...the last two weeks have been awfully busy for me(well actually not only the last few weeks la..but ever since sch started) and so many things have happened...some rather exciting, some not so. But nevertheless...part of life.
It's sunday and for the first time in a long long while I get to nua at home, have some time to myself...not have to worry abt going anywhere or about meeting deadlines. There are some deadlines la...but not v impt ones so i'm still alright...no stress for the first time today!!! =)
First things first --- I've turned 21!! Hehe...and my b'day celebrations spanned a few days...frm the 13th to the 17th itself. But overall, dun feel like I've grown any much older or become more mature. It's been more like a constant process frm the beginning of uni...having met so many wonderful pple...and some not-so-wonderful ones...going thru certain bad patches and sometimes really good ones. Had a really cheena party on the 13th....complete wif the terribly cheena dress(which was my mother's) and the cheena cake(which I chose!!). Am really glad so many pple actually bothered with the cheena dressing! I shall comment on the really nice looking ones -- Marie, Joanne and Yihao!! Really coolly cheena man!! =)
Oh, and thank you all for the presents! They were absolutely lovely...esp the shirt that said, " I'm not a bitch....why? u have a problem with that?" muahahaha....tt was soooo cute! Among those were my David Tao's latest cd!!!! woohoo! And 2 other jazz cds. Fantastic. There was also a lovely notebook frm Yihao and Weicheng that's supposed to brighten up my current o-so-dreary days. (it definitely will i'm sure! thanks guys!)
Then Bern and Ben and Mel Dragon stayed till abt almost 230 in the morning cos we were talking and laughing abt all sorts of stuff and drinking chinese tea too! That was really memorable. Yup...so it was a great night altho I was terribly tired after tt but worth it la!
Then on tues I went to the spa wif my mommy! The Amrita Spa at Raffles city cos i'd never ever been to one and decided since my dad cld get some discount I'd better try if not i'd never be allowed the luxury again! So went for a massage, which was quite a bad experience. My back hurt all the way and she cracked like all my joints and everything....I will never go for another again! But the facial was ok...juz tt she kept trying to make me buy their products...which I so can't be bothered to use. Yup...but twas an experience....not as relaxing as I expected cos i was so paiseh abt the having to strip all the way thing. And also stressed out by trying not to laugh or scream in pain during the massage.
Then after tt I went to Jaan for dinner. It was fine dining at the Equinox...and the view was gorgeous! Since me swakoo never go up there before everything was like amazing to me lor... Ate so much till i nearly burst and had 3 pieces of handmade chocs by this rather cute french chef and it was sooooo smooth man. U cld almost see me float! And then I took a tour ard the entire Equinox itself and it had a really nice and posh jazz bar called City Space. Sigh.....wonder when I'll ever go up there again.
Yup...then on wed was commissioning mass, so I was being de-commissioned and kinda commissioned again...with a new responsibility - a relatively interesting experience. Sometime in the past weeks I've been getting worried tt I'm taking on too many ministries and all. But then again I think perhaps it is better to make life more meaningful tt way. I think it's a matter of time management and focus also la.
So far, a little bit more of my play is falling into place, the Pan Island Expressway one and I dun hate the director tt much anymore. In fact, he can be quite nice in helping me out wif my sound design la. The play is at the end of Oct! Who wants to come and support me? U won't see me on stage la, but u'll hear my idea of sound!! ;p
Alrighty then...back to doing some readings....hopefully the pace of stuff slows down a little bit, then i'll be able to post more regularly!

Yawn..so sleepy...supposed to go to the library to print some notes but a little too held back by inertia. heh.
2 interesting things that happened in the past 2 days.
Went to stay at Pan Pac for the filming of one of my theatre modules and enjoyed myself immensely! There were 7 of us...and i don't know all of them well at all, perhaps only took one similar module wif 3 of them, the rest I only juz met like this sem. But they're such awesome pple! 2 of the girls were particularly auntie and singaporean aunties somemore! They went ard to look for the cleaning ladies so tt they cld "kope" more slippers and toothbrushes and towels for all 7 of us so we cld bathe! Happening rite!?!? It was so hilarious lor...then we went carrefour to buy some snacks and all to last us thru the night and we kinda rearranged the entire room incl the tv so that we cld see ourselves as we filmed. Really amazing!
As one of the guys James said, "I've never done this before in my entire NUS life" and it turned out to be a really good experience. I think only our gp is so crazy as to wanna do this.... but I think it's really gd as well. It gives me a different impression of theatre pple, as I rem not wanting to major in theatre cos of all the eccentric stuff i've heard about theatre pple. Yet, these pple are so warm and caring that I wish we didn't only have one module to work on! Then again, i wonder what will happen when this sem ends...the relationship will be different again and we won't even meet up for lunch tt kinda ting....rather sad I feel but perhaps tts the way things go sometimes.
Then yesterday on the train when I was going to the esplanade after sch there was this NS guy who sat next to me and fell aslp and he was like slowly leaning towards me and after tt on me lor. I cldn't move anywhere cos the guy on the other side was rather close as well...so I really didn't know what to do lor and felt paiseh to wake him up. What do pple usually do in these situations? So i juz left it and when his head was like abt 2 inches away frm my shoulder he finally woke up and was soooo utterly embarrassed! Ahaha....u shld haf seen the look on his face man....damn funny. And then i thought aiya nvm la at least he didn't stink. We shld have love for pple rite... and at least he apologised after he woke. Heh.

Another late night....and I think it'll be like this for a v long time....until maybe my b'day is over by a week or sthg.
How I wish sometimes I have the pensieve in Potter...as I was telling Ivan about it today cos he said he had a lot of thoughts in his head. I get moments of that too..especially when I have tons of things lined up for me to do.
Lets see my schedule for the next few days...plus deadlines and all.
Wednesday (wait....tts like today): History of Western Theatre test (which i haven't started studying yet), got CG in the evening then going to Pan Pac hotel for the filming of the presentation of one of my theatre modules which is actually due next week but one of the guys can't make it so he has to appear by film.
Thursday: Class from 10-2pm
Friday: First draft of sound design for the entire play Pan Island Expressway ( for the module called Play Production) which is not even like halfway done, then need to find song to use during workshop on sat, and then there's exco commissioning mass which we are publicising Francis Musical.
Saturday (and this is the most champion by far): Some leadership thingy at 9am(which i am trying to weasel out of), Theatre Ministry workshop (12pm), catechism (3pm) then mass(6pm which maybe i'll skip and go on sunday instead), and then my b'day thingy at night.
And amidst all tt, I haven't done any planning at all for the party...my mom asked me to think abt
1) What present I want
2) How i wanna decorate the house
3) What am I gonna wear and where to buy
Wah lau...i'm so gonna die lor.
Heh....this blog seems like only bitching so far....but then again i haven't the time and energy to think of anything else la. Other than tt, my camps were quite gd over the weekend... and I've finally finished reading Othello! Now on to the next book that I hafta read by next tues. Sigh.

Tis like gonna be 3am already and I haven't packed my bags. I've juz finished practicing for mass. Have been arrowed at the very bloody last minute to play for mass. And I am stressed cos I'm afraid tt it'll so sound like shit. I've never done it before somemore.
Gonna be away at 2 camps till monday. Wished it didn't hafta all be this week but juz so happened. Sianz. Hope I will still be alive by monday.
Today was one of the best days I've had in abt a week or so....except for a darned stomachache that went on for the whole afternoon till I went to sleep. Absolutely detest it. Then Marie and Amanda came over for dinner. That was rather nice too. Acting class was so fun. I'm learning so many things as we go along and it'll prob be transferred to be used during the workshops tt we'll be doing.
Ok...no more blogging till mon or so. On with my busy life!!

Felt like blogging...then didn't really know wat to say.
Was rather fuming 3 hrs ago..but now rather happy.
I believe it's the chocs I ate a while ago, and the green tea.
Mmm....food always makes pple feel better.
Die la I'm gonna grow so fat lor cos when i'm stressed i eat.(and eat and eat and eat...)
Bought a bag of vanilla fudge sweets frm Marks & Spencer tt day..and finished it all by myself.
Muahahahaha
I dunno why the hell i'm writing in such a funny manner
And why I'm still not doing the presentation due tmw
And why I'm still wasting my time blogging.
Juz some random thoughts I guess.
The Witchiness is here to stay.
Am turning into a witchy, bitchy auntie.
I will have idiots for lunch. (eee then again, wat for corrupt my beautiful body?)
Human beings are so complicated.
Esp theatre pple....but then they can be so cute (only some! and some [amateurs] are juz bloody idiots)
And my cute instructor for Acting class can be found in the "more photos" tt i put up.
His name is Nelson and he's really brilliant.
So is Jonathan (another instructor) in "some photos".(he's not cute tho)
But he is my real inspiration -- my theatrical muse ;p
Anyway back to cute guys.
Ivan says my penchant for cute guys will be the end of me.
I say there are many other things tt'll kill me before tt.
For example, a heart attack before the age of 30.
Or maybe God will strike me dead for cursing too much at the world.
Ah well. Good nite to all.

I think getting attached makes pple more irresponsible. Cos they seem to be caught up in their own world..or the world of "the 2 of them". Or issit juz sour grapes? :S
Then again...not really leh...as in...pple i know who are attached can also be v responsible. What say u all? Post a comment! (since i dun seem to be able to write much nowadays, might as well get pple to write)
Oh....and my mom seems to think i'm desperate. *hysterical laughter*
p/s: Just finished potter bk 5 and it's absolutely fantastic. Somehow i dunno y, but i feel as if i'm going thru what he feels in this book...like shorter tempers and things goin on tt i cannot comprehend and feeling utterly frustrated. Oh, but what i'd give just to be Potter.
