Sounds like good advice to me.....

Sometimes when you are angry with someone,
it helps to just sit down and think about the problem.

Murphy's Field Day

Strained
Voices,
Relationships,
Egos.

Wounds
Fester
Everything
Becomes a mess

The tears
The screaming
The pain
Inwardly, eating away.

Lack of will
To get out, over,
Cool down
Makes things worse

Looking forward
Tomorrow might be
A better day
Or not.

Zzz monsters

I'm so damn sleepy. Always ard this time... whether I'm in the office or out... also damn sleepy. Think it prob has to do with the amt of food intake during lunch. But mostly during office hrs la. Sitting at the desk certainly doesn't help.

Maybe it's also that I don't sleep enough at night? Think my brain has been working overtime... dunno why. Cos been having lots and lots of dreams lately. And dreaming makes me more tired... cos then I can't rest properly while sleeping.

Anyways, hopefully today I will have a gd rest. And try to fight off this damned sore throat and flu tt has been threatening to become full blown. :/

Chao Gu-niang!!

Rather fiery and kaopeh post coming up. (But nothing new right... since I damn kao peh anyway)

I hate guys who possess freaking ku-niang characteristics like indecisiveness and wishy-washiness. Absolutely gets on my nerves!!! Some girls might see it as being sensitive and shit. My take is - just bloody hell get on with it. Enuff of the bloody waffling, "u prefer this place? or how abt that? is it convenient for you? I come and pick u?" =_= U think I so free to keep exchanging ideas issit??? It's just one meal for goodness sakes lor.

Then. There are those who walk so KNN slowly and block up the entire path. You are men for heavens sakes la, walk a bit faster can? If not, don't bloody block my way la! CCB inconsiderate bastards!

Random-ness

Ok. Totally random post coming up... cos I is 心情不好. So many things on my mind. So I guess... some pics would cheer my post up. (And inevitably make me feel better too?)

Ok the good stuff first.

1) My impt meeting yesterday went unbelievably well. And I've just remembered how much I love my big big big boss. He is my 偶像. Like, totally lor! Super zai. He is so nurturing when it comes to us... but can also be as hard as nails when dealing with external parties in order to prove our point.

2) Hong Kong in June 07. Went with family. And had... quite a lot of fun la. Despite being annoyed by my sister sometimes. The youngest is usually the most idiotic la. Oh whoops, forgot abt my other bro, but he didn't come.. so not counted I guess.

Ok so... first few, a few pics of siblings and me... on the plane. Quite cute la tt the 4 of us sat together. (There is one missing btw..)

Then this one, of me and my happening bro. At Lan Kwai Fong - the happening plc :) Other bro just got captured in the backgrd. (and he tells me he didn't purposely put himself in the pic one! -_- Looks damn cock lor)

And then...2 rather random pics of interesting things I saw. The first, of this alleyway... which was damn deep and had shops leading all the way in! I am very very fascinated with the HK-ers use of space. They are just absolutely amazing. Anywhere also can pop up space for shops one.

And this ancient sedan thing which was sitting in the lobby of my hotel. Couldn't resist taking a pic of the traditional looking thing.

3) More b'day celebrations. Rem 2 posts ago I mentioned meeting Steven and YJ for bday celebrations? It was really nice. Had cake and all. These 2 兄弟 so sweet. Love you all deep deep sia! :p

Then now... the not so good stuff.

4) Rather 灰心 abt my guitar lesson today. Cos... very slow at picking up new stuff. Need lots of time to practice and understand before I can actually play. So was struggling terribly to catch up. And it really felt like shit. I know.. it's prob like a v temp kind of set back...cos pple learn at different paces. But still. Ms impatient wishes she could play and sing.. like all those talented singers today.

Was reflecting on this halfway thru the lesson... about how learning guitar is like being in a relationship. When u first start, and things are easy.. all is fine and dandy. U are very motivated... things seem to be going well. Then as u learn, and perhaps interest begins to wane.. then maybe u practice less, spend less time on it... struggle abit with the difficulties. And feel like shit.

But then... when u think abt why u started to learn abt it in the first plc, u discover the love all over again. And u feel motivated to want to play better (or, become a 'better person' still) even though the going may be tough. In order to reach the ultimate goal of being able to play properly. But then... there are always new songs to learn, new things to master... new ways of playing old songs...

That's the way it is in a relationship isn't it? Endless discovery... growth. It's when things stagnate and indifference sets in... that marks the end of that love story.

5) And last thoughts of the day - Risk management. How much is too much to risk for the sake of potential happiness vs protecting yourself and ensuring an avenue for recovery when all is lost?

It's already Oct!! Where the hell did Sept go??

Haha. It went to my b'day celebrations and most preciously, to London of course.

Ok, will have lotsa pics, incl the London ones...so I guess we'll start off with the little b'day celebrations first.

Shane organised a 'surprise' party for me at settlers cafe...quite a few pple (some of whom I really haven't seen in a while) turned up. Which was nice. Celebrations began much earlier too. The crowd was... rather different compared to last year. Heh.

So here's a pic with my dear... who... gan cheonged and all to get everybody to come... and tho the surprise wasn't entirely v surprising (but not ur fault, can't be helped tt i smart! ;p), I appreciate the effort you put in.

Then... a group pic of almost everybody who turned up (except the old man and Pam who couldn't stay..)

And finally, some of the action tt went on. Can't rem what this game was called but pple had to reach for the bell and hit it...so.. the 2 girls whom u can see in the pic. Were quite gd :)

And then, Jo's farewell combined with both our b'day celebrations.

Now that Jo's in Japan... we won't have the chance to meet as the 4 of us for a while.... :( But I am glad for these 3 friends. They really make my life brighter.. and I'm quite sure we won't be apart for v long! :)

Ok..then on to some musings I had this afternoon. On DOGs.

Dogs. Was just thinking abt the owning of dogs. Like how I prefer big dogs... e.g... goldies, labradors, huskies(!!). Cos usually the smaller ones are just too yappy. And annoying.

But anyways, those who know me will know tt I'm not particularly fond of animals. Any kind. But maybe dogs will be ok. Then again, whenever I think of owning a dog, issues of how/who to take care of it come into play. They're just like kids. Only....not your own flesh and blood. Not human. Even more unable to take care of itself... even when grown up. A huge huge huge responsibility. And I guess my current priority lies in having my own kids... the ultimate outcome/product of the love between my husband and me. Not sure whether I'd be able to have enough love...for an extra 'doggy kid'.

Ok, enuff abt how it affects me personally. I sometimes think the owning of dogs is quite an ang moh/yuppiefied thing. It also speaks of affluence. Like...being able to maintain a well bred dog does not ome cheap. With this affluence comes status also. Like..you have a house tts big enuff for a dog to run ard (i.e. usually private property).

Hmm. So I guess the point of it all would be that.... although I guess it wouldn't be such a bad thing to have a dog.... it wouldn't really be cos of my love for dogs? It's not like a passion or sthg. And what would probably make me change my mind are more like issues of social status as mentioned abv...tt come while being seen owning a dog...which would not really be a gd reason for owning one anyway? Hmm. I am so not an animal lover.
