So...I finally made it down to geylang for my 豆(花)油条!!! But hor, this time, it was a little earlier in the morning (or night) however you want to see it, so parking was a problem. And I had to parallel park lor. But I still managed to get into the lot without scratching my car, even though I got pressure frm the long line of cars waiting behind me, and the positioning quite sui sui somemore :D

We decided to go for Dim Sum first cos we were hungry, and tao huay surely not enough. So went to the same place I went the last time. Mongkok Dim Sum. I think their food really not bad. The chee cheong fun and ribs were the best I think! And they serve tea the old fashioned way, with the plastic tub and hot water so can wash the cups! Reminds me of when I was young...and out with my parents.



Then this photo below... of me and Shane while waiting for food. Hmm, sometime just before/after this photo was taken, a gp of abt 5 guys + 1 girl stood next to our table...and the char bor kept diaoing Shane...so he kept staring back at the guys.

Me: Dear, what you looking at...why look until lidat?
S: This char bor kept giving me funny looks. Damn irritating, and I dun like pple to stand next to my table so I stare at the guys lor. If they come and beat me up you will protect me right?
Me: Riiigght.

U know how since I'm relatively gantang, certain dialect words crack me up? Usually they're in hokkien la...but yesterday in our conversation, my mother used this word in cantonese: -

硬皮鱼 ( I don't know how to spell it in 'cantonese' pinyin)

Anyways, it really cracked me up. I hadn't heard it in a long long time.... the oldies used to call us kids that when we were young, and annoying. Hahahaha.

For those who dunno, when used to describe someone, means tt the person is stubborn, and causes much frustration among others. Literally, it means 'thick-skinned fish', and damn frustrating to eat cos u hafta 'fight' with the skin just to eat it. Aiya, it doesn't sound so funny now tt u explain it liao. Heh.

So yeah. Another cantonese word which describes my state of being in the past 2 weeks is mung zung. (Now, tt one I dunno what's the chinese character) Isn't the chinese lang beautiful? Some words are just so apt for describing my life.

So yeah, in my mung zung state, I still have to love my marder and help her with the 25th anniversary prep. My eyes are popping out after staring at the damn computer screen for so long, helping her format the mass booklet. *dazed*

And so…. the 不爽 has continued over to the weekend.

Having a serious need to bitch.

DON’T EVER GO TO SUSHI YOSHIDA!! For one thing, they’re all idiots. Yesterday night, I wanted to go to Bar Stop. So I called up to make a reservation. Having never been there, I thot it’d just be a nice place, one restaurant. So who knew, when I got there, there were actually 2 restaurants, side by side. One was Bar Stop, and the other, this bloody sushi place.

So we told whichever waiter who was standing ard, tt we had a reservation. All were wearing some bloody Bar Stop T-shirt. There was some confusion, cos at first they couldn’t find my name. Then asked me whether it was for drinks or dinner. I said, “I called, and said dinner”. So after all tt bloody nonsense, they led is into the Jap restaurant. So we followed, thinking tt the “Bar” had no food. When we looked at the menu, I nearly fell off my chair cos of the price!!! Every freaking thing was so expensive. No sets or anything, restaurant really didn’t look like much. And the service was absolute shit. Cos the food took so damn long to come. I was hungry, and their appetizer was yucky too. Some radish thing, with wasabi dressing. When the food came, the portion was pathetic… and hungry grumpy me was really damn upset.

So as u can see, a really lousy experience…with food not worth the price, and stupid service. PLUS, I’m quite sure my damned reservation wasn’t for tt place because, when Shane’s frens finally arrived, they went to the correct side, and the place was bloody expecting me – I was the only person who booked. And guess what? They served food. Main course, as well as drinks. KNN!!!!!

So pple, don’t ever go to tt blasted place, cos if I didn’t make a reservation for there in the first place, why the hell drag me in there!?!?!? Aaargh……. It’s been a rather fucked up week too… things in the orpic have not exactly been going well. VERY annoying. Guess the only good thing was meeting Preman’s gf, Celine… it was a rather unexpected night… thot it’d be a bit more ‘exciting’… cos u know, needed to de-stress and all, after a hard week of work, but it turned out to be different - a nice quiet night, getting to know someone new. I guess it’s always interesting to meet pple from other countries, learning about their culture, and discussing how different it is from ours. And of cos, since she’s French, she reminds me of Paris…(altho she doesn't really like it since she's frm Southern France) ah which I long to visit once again…

Oh, forgot to say tt I watched Death Note and I thought the concept was really cool. Altho the main character who had the book was rather fugly, so was the death god… but all in all, quite a gd show. Can’t wait for the next one to be out! Oh, and even tho I missed it – apparently after the credits they show shots of the sequel! Bloody hell, la missed it. Oh well… story of my life, supposed to be everything 不爽 right. Sigh.

I hate stupid people. What is wrong with these fuckers?

Saturday: 3 foreign women were on bicycles, taking up the entire width of the footpath, all coming towards me. And as I approached, they showed no signs of stopping. So I stopped in my tracks, and stared at the only bitch who was not following behind her two friends who were keeping to one side of the path. And guess what? She didn't stop. And if I didn't move a little on to the grass, she would have run me over. Chao chee bai!!!!!

Tonight: 1 oldish (maybe in their 30s and I say oldish, cos they're stupid!!) couple walking along the pathway along the main st outside my house. Already feeling damn under the weather with this CB haze and grumpy cos I was hungry, they, like all the stupid fuckers this post is abt, took up the entire foot path. Even when they saw me coming at bloody top speed, rushing to get home so tt I can eat my bloody dinner and take a rest. And guess what? Because I didn't stop, I had to once again, step onto the bloody grass, and give the arsehole a dirty look while I sidestepped past him. What the fuck is wrong with these pple???? Like, can't u be a little more considerate and just move into single file so tt someone can pass? And if I hadn't stopped, I'd have knocked into his stinking, slimy shit of a body and might've ended up arguing, wasting energy on this CB.

And these 2 are not the only incidents, last week also, at the small pathway leading to Novena mrt, these 2 fat women - about the size of 1 walkway, had to block Shane's and my path. Aaargh!!! I think they shld 被雷霹死!!!! Kah nee nah!

Sigh. Very very fed up today balls. I think it has to do with the fact tt I’m finally falling sick after (almost) the entire office has gone thru it. Fuck!

Random random post: 花 + pics from phone

Decided that this post will be picture-filled cos my last post v long wif no pic. Haha. Last week, my dear gave me flowers :D and they were 十分美美 too! Here's a pic of them in my office, leaning against Mr Yellow (my M&Ms dispenser). A whole bunch of tulips. Very well put together... in royal purple!



Then, decided to put up this pic also, taken a few mths ago...on our 2 yr anniversary. This was delivered to my house!! Paiseh the backgrd a bit messy ah, as pointed out by YJ.



Flowers, flowers, flowers.... sthg which I'm not that crazy over, but when I get them, they make me smile. Actually, buying flowers for someone just because also make me smile. I think fresh flowers have the ability to make pple (usually girls) feel happy. Like chocolate. Which is why I think Mr Yellow fits well with the tulips in the photo...haha(I am how full of shit man).

Right then, the following pics were taken by my phone. Went to this place called Aerins in the new basement at Raffles City with Pam... as u can see, got flower also cos I just decided to buy one for her. Anyways, tts the Apple and Rhubarb pie. Damn huge, damn nice and the vanilla icecream went really well with the pastry/crust thing. Yum!

Ok, then the following pics not so random. This is where I went last thurs - Acid Bar again! Now we know the name of the performer - Michella (er, not sure if it's spelt tt way but shld be la) and she is damn gd. Hmm, realised we didn't take any pics of her either! But we were bz trying to take photos of ourselves haha. Look at this pic with Steven trying to use the timer on his phone. Rather bad quality la cos the lighting wasn't v gd. But after 2 tries, the photos still turned out strange and at funny angles cos his positioning everytime also sala! Think he too excited liao. It was damn hilarious cos he so gan cheong everytime he pressed the button (altho it gives a 10 sec time lag)



So finally, we got one of the waitresses to take the photo for us, and we still had to take it twice, cos she was trying to get YJ to smile. Damn funny la this waitress, she's one of the most friendly - attended to us the first time we went there, and Steven kept flirting with her!! Hahaha... And when she took the photo for us, after counting to 3 she'll say, "Why your face lidat?!" to YJ, and then we'd have to start counting all over again. In the end he still dun wanna smile properly. Haha. Hey! And I just noticed all 3 of us were wearing white on tt day! (Yeah, and tts abt the only thing u can see cos the quality really damn lousy man. So dark :\ )

All in all, it was a good week la. Compared to this week. As u can tell from my previous rant, things aren't exactly going very well. Am super looking forward to the weekend lor.

KC (Primary) Carnival

Went back to my pri sch yesterday to help my mom out with the carnival. It was in aid of the building fund. They are going to tear it down again!!! :( I was part of the first batch that moved there in hmm...lets see 1990? I was in pri 2 then. And now, my sis has been in there for 5 yrs already. I am proud of my heritage I must say.. convent girls are a special bunch. :D

The school has changed a little, some teachers are still there and I'm quite surprised some of them still recognise me!! One of them actually remembered my name without me even saying tt i was here student before. Not bad ah! But then there was another funny incident - met one of the church organists there and she asked if I was a parent volunteer =_= I got look as old as u meh!!! Basket! And hor, to be a parent volunteer wld mean tt my kid is at least near 6 yrs old, which means I wld've gotten married like for how long already!! I got look so old meh?!!?! Tmd... =_=

Actually took some photos but they were taken with Shane's professional "old school" camera so not sure when they'll be uploaded la. But I'm quite sure most of u won't be interested in looking at aunties (cos most of them were aunties la, incl me) :p

So yeah, walkin thru the sch brought back memories. Altho they've put up strange banners saying things like "we must uphold meritocracy and prevent corruption" (??!?) or sthg lidat. How duh is tt? Don't see how it relates to the school, but whatever la I suppose. They have so many programmes and facilities now, students today are so privileged.

Think helping out yesterday also made me realise, tt i'm quite anal when it comes to doing things my way. Haha... cos I was helping out at the "mini-mart" and the layout of goods was totally disorganised, cos the stuff was mostly donated by parents. So it was arranged in some chaotic order(if tts possible) and I managed to sort out, (with the help of Shane) how best to put the stuff so tt pple wld be attracted to look, and the prices would be easily known to both me and customer. But some bloody aunty who came to help kept messing tt up, and pulling things out of the boxes. Totally pissing me off! Like I arrange nicely nicely liao, then go and kpo! Grrr! These pple ought to be shot! Heh, anyways…then after tt went to play some of the games like whacking the frog, and picking up marbles frm the tank…haha, all these fun kiddy games.

And then hor! There was this bouncing castle thingy!! U know where kiddies climb on this inflated thingy and jump ard? I never did tt as a kid leh, so I was so tempted to go and try yesterday!!! My second childhood! But I’d have been the biggest buffalo, and sekali too much over the weight limit, burst the damn structure :\ So I didn’t even bother asking the pple there, if there was any weight limit – for fear of being rejected. Bummer.

Haha, but honestly, maybe setting up a mini-mart is quite fun. Sthg tt I can consider when I get sick of orpic work? (Borrow ur term hor Steven!) And since I like grocery shopping, I’d be damn happy looking at groceries all day. :D
