Yup, I'm back. And while I wait to get the majority of photos frm SH, I'm listening to one of my strangest purchases from Seoul: The soundtrack of Sondheim's musical, Company. Oh, have I already said how much I love Sondheim? (Some pple say, a little too much..but no la, I dun think so :p) The purchase is strange cos I went to Korea and not U.S. So why on earth did I get this musical's OST right? I oso dunno. Since I dun listen to Korean songs, I looked for Sondheim stuff lor.. and they had it!!

I love so many songs from this musical, which I've never watched, btw, but was introduced to it by who else, Jon Lim, during my Suddenly Sondheim course. Am hoping to catch it someday though. This piece is just beautiful. Saw it performed during the Sondheim on Sondheim musical tt I watched in NYC earlier this year too. Enjoy :)

But seriously, these days I feel quite in need of a laugh or 2. Did get some from Chestnuts yesterday..but it wore off quite quickly. Maybe it's cos I actually finished watching my 家好月圆... having withdrawal symptoms? It's a damn gd show btw... feel even more inspired to speak cantonese!!

Nvm, I will be running off to Korea in a few days..hopefully tt will cure me of my sian 1/2-ness! Drown my sorrows in shopping and happening-ness. Onward!!

Ok, as usual, aunty is a leetle beet slow with music. Can't be helped la, so many talented pple to listen to these days. Haven't even really gotten 熟 enough with 方大同 yet, but been listening to 周杰伦's latest album recently (no, not in the convertible tho :p). And I've totally fallen madly madly madly in love with this song.



Check out the boyband dancing man! Super cute la! It's even synced with the lyrics!! Thought the tune was just catchy at first, but then realised that the lyrics were also super cute to the max! Made me smile the first time I heard it. And it still does. It's obviously going into my running playlist! Don't quite understand the hokkien part though. Anyone can translate for me? hehe.. If I'm not wrong, must be sthg abt standing up for a 兄弟 or what. Wonder what is it in the Taiwanese culture that makes them so 'cute' sia.

The other songs that have caught my attn so far are 超人不会飞 - super witty, 说了再见 - abit too emo (even for my current state, I must say) but nice tune and 雨下一整晚 - using some sibeh cheem words poetry to paint a beautiful story.

New Experiences

Had my first ride in a convertible yesterday. With 周杰伦 playing in the background too. Had never seen the view from the Benjamin Shears bridge so clearly before. It was really amazing. Literally had the 兜风的感觉. Hair was in a mess, but that was ok... cos the current hairstyle is meant to be messy anyways. :p Now I understand why it's like (almost) every guy's dream to own a convertible. Wld be damn easy to 骗小妹妹. Luckily I aunty ;p

Spent the whole evening/night playing games also... Time Crisis (!!) and Guitar Hero! Aunty is a noob la. Never play guitar hero before. And it was damn super fun sia. Although after tt my eyes a bit cock frm trying to follow the scrolling thingies. Hehe. Think it'll be a good investment to buy one set and put at home.. got so many siblings, I'm sure it will give us many hours of entertainment. Maybe my parents can even be persuaded to pay for it :D
