Fatigue & Dark eye rings...
Haven't watched so much tv in months!! Juz cos the recent world championships for badminton are on now I've been staying up to watch. Thank goodness it's finals tonight...so no more staying up! This is not gd man especially when sch is starting in abt a week and I need to get all the rest I can.
Now the last set is playing...men's doubles and it's damn exciting also. One of the only categories where the China players don't dominate. Somehow the Chinese are known for dominating most of the categories, especially the women's singles and doubles. Both had Chinese playing agst Chinese during the finals. The women's doubles was a damn gd game...and the winners were what I call the chio team cos they were better looking than the other players and there was this particular player called Gao Ling who looked sooo sweet! She was in the finals for mixed doubles also earlier in the day and although she played hard she lost tt set to the Koreans. But she was still smashing so hard and she played really really well. What's more she kept smiling in court....so sweet man!! Feel so happy for her tt she won. =)
Ok...report abit...the men's singles were played by a malaysian, Wong Choong Hann against China's Xia Xuanze. Both relatively good looking altho the China guy was cuter. ;p Was hoping for the malaysians to win tho...I guess cos I like the malaysian singles guy but the China guy was damn steady. So I guess tts y he won. Poor thing looked so devastated.
Men's doubles were damn exciting...Indonesia against Denmark. Never really knew Europeans could play badminton but they were damn helluva gd. This pair only la, tt is. Heard from the commentary tt they haven't won a world championship men's doubles in 20 years already. I can imagine their joy at winning this man. Those guy's reflexes are like perfect lor but the defending world champions(the indonesians) made a lot of stupid mistakes. Which caused them to lose la.
Now I'm like so super gian to go and play badminton. I wonder what it's like to win a tournament. I've never really won a proper tournament, except for the SAJC opens which was like agst our own teammates la. And both were in mixed doubles. I played for both years, in J1 and J2...and I can't quite rem whether I got 1st or 2nd for the J1 team. My partner was Whanlee and he was such a kind soul. Good too...being able to cover for me when I couldn't reach (which btw is prob like 3/4 of the entire court). That was really fun. At tt time I was like this lousy geena who kept hitting those kinda taiko shots...like i'd hit the net and it'd go over to the other side. That kinda shot absolutely impossible to retrieve but it doesn't show anything for my skill either la. heh. Then in J2 I played mixed doubles again, this time with Jixuan and perhaps it was from this time tt our relationship began to 'develop'.
If it wasn't for badminton, I'd prob never have gotten together with Jixuan. And I'm sure I've told some of u before tt the only time I feel so safe and secure and feminine when I'm together with him is when we're on the badminton court. It's like the notion that he'll always be able to cover for me and take care of me cos he's like so power and all. Was really really amazed that a rather small sized runt like him could actually hit the shuttle so effortlessly and smash with such tremendous power. Perhaps tt was what attracted me to him in the first place. Well...a bit sad huh...but I suppose, tts the story of us. I don't quite regret it tho...I mean, there was sthg sweet abt our relationship tt I still hold rather dear to me. And I suppose badminton is one of my fav sports.
It's interesting how also tt in recent times I've begun to play badminton so often...with all the CSS pple. I'm quite glad tt we started the 'habit' of playing cos then it helps me to keep fit and I suppose it helps to bond pple. I guess it's also becos we started playing badminton tt Ivan and I got closer. Funny how I used to have a set impression about him before badminton... tts how we started talking.
Ok then....off to bed! Have a meeting with Fr John Paul tmw about the St Francis musical tt we're putting up next year...gotta be up early early man....

*Grin grin grin grin* =D
Rather on a high today!! Cos my music course went well! We had soooo much fun presenting the comic pieces!! I let the "feng1sao1po2" in me come out a little by disturbing the pianist while he played. Hahaha... The title of the song is called The little things and it's about marriage. It's really interesting with the amount of silly things that came out when I began to rehearse it with my new partner, Andy. I couldn't even deliver the song properly when we had to present it cos our audience was laughing so hard and it made me laugh too.
Pity the two cute guys weren't around today, but I think it helped me feel less self conscious and perhaps the ability to concentrate better! Just a thought about having appreciative audiences and all...I guess when ur a very good actor/actress u feed off the audience's energy and it makes u wanna perform more for them. For pple like me, I tend to laugh too when audiences laugh and then I end up forgetting my lines. So perhaps this thurday's filming of the FOC play I will listen, will be more fruitful with us remembering more of our lines cos there's no like real audience.
Heh..anyways...am rather pleased with myself today la cos i had such a nice time rehearsing even though I started fom abt 1230 to abt 430. Gonna watch more badminton in a while....so exciting! Tonight is the finals for the International Badminton Federation World Championships, whoa quite a mouthful that was.
Alrighty, here's the lyrics of the song I sang today. Tis rather long, but super funny! Especially after u take it out of context and make certain things have interesting connotations that makes it so funny. =)
The little things -- Stephen Sondheim
It's the little things you do together,
Do together, do together
That make perfect relationships.
The hobbies you pursue together,
Savings you accrue together,
Looks you misconstrue together,
That make marriage a joy. Mm hmm...
It's the little things you share together,
Swear together, wear together
That make perfect relationships
It's concerts you enjoy together,
Neighbours you annoy together,
Children you destroy together
That keep marriage intact.
It's not so hard to be married
When two maneuver as one.
It's not so hard to be married
And Jesus Christ is it fun!
It's sharing little winks together,
Drinks together, kinks together
That make marriage a joy
It's bargains that you shop together
Cigarettes you stop together
Clothing that you swap together
That make perfect relationships. Uh huh...Mm hmm...
It's not talk of God and the decade ahead
That allows you to get through the worse
It's "I do" and "You don't" and "Nobody said that"
and "Who brought the subject up first?"
It's the little things...
The little things the little things the little things
The little ways you try together,
Cry together, lie together
That make perfect relationships
Becoming a cliche together
Growing old and grey together
Withering away together
That make marriage a joy
It's not so hard to be married
It's much the cleanest of crimes
It's not so hard to be married
I've done it three or four times.
It's the people that you hate together,
Bait together, date together
That make marriage a joy
It's things like using force together
Shouting till you're hoarse together
Getting a divorce together
That make perfect relationships. Uh huh... Kiss kiss....Mm hmm...

La di da!! I changed my blog template!! I think it's cute...and it actually has a somewhat snoopy-ish feel to it, yet it's not very reflective of who I am. But I suppose, even if Andrea Yip is not sweet, her blog can be! kekekeke
Managed to add in different links and also my comments...but the only sad thing is tt I had to change the colour of the font too. It was previously sthg like cornflower blue but in order for u all to haf a slightly easier time reading it it's darkblue. Kinda loses it's dreaminess about it. And the contrast is still not good. I haf no idea how to link my archives either....but tts enuff done in a night liao.
Anyone wants to complain? Perhaps I might decide to change it again if too many pple complain tt they're getting blind trying to read my blog. Heh. Wasted my whole sat night searching for blogskins and watching badminton and rugby....oh well!

According to this website, they're able to gauge how much i'm worth and this is the email that they sent me.
"You are worth exactly: $1,707,240.00.
We hope you can find somebody who is wealthy enough to afford you."
Hah...tts quite funny man...the highest female scorer so far costs $2,739,870.00 and I'm ranked about #10. Heh. Now I wonder who's rich enough to afford me.....muahahaha
Taught catechism today....had a bit of fun cos we were doing sex and sexuality. Today's topic was on puberty and u can guess how squeamish the sec 2s are at talking about stuff like vaginas and penises and sperm and all.... lotsa giggling... and when quizzed, the girls seemed to know far more than the guys, even about sexual development in boys! But oh well, lets hope this makes them more awake during class and hopefully not so bored.
Tis raining now...how i love to look at the reflection of rain in the light....

Had a relatively interesting two days...
Thursday was supposed to be my free day, with no plans so I cld rest at home...but ended up playing badminton wif my mom's frens...or the parent volunteers with KC. They are damn gd lor, for aunties their age!! There was one who was even a grandmother i think! And her shots were damn powerful!! I felt so inadequate after the game cos I'm like quite lousy and all lor...only can try to support my 'partner's' a little bit. Just watched the world championships and they were damn exciting lor! Feel rather inspired to go and train badminton again...but tis quite a silly idea i think...i mean....pple take swimming lessons, but badminton lessons? Sounds so way off...and also perhaps to no real gd end....not like i'm gonna be playing for s'pore or taking part in a lot of badminton tournaments or anything. Guess it juz feels real gd when u can hit the shuttle properly...
Then later tt night i went to Chris' place for dinner...which was really gd...steamboat we had and then later had ice cream..but tts abt all the gd it had. The talking was irrtating as usual...and I chose to leave early to prevent too much fireworks coming from me...heh. Then went to meet my ex boyfriend.....who stayed like just across the road from Chris....a very convenient reason to leave. Haven't seen him in 2 years...and it's been 6 yrs since we've got together...heh, yes u all can do the maths...was pretty young when i started out. ;p but oh well, doesn't seem to have done me any good at all since i'm still left with zero right now...
Anyway...i just found it interesting that he was the only ex bf that I didn't mind talking to. Mark thought I was being desperate. Nah...i really wasn't la. I guess it's like long enuff after things haf happened that we're older, more matured and able to laugh at the silly things we once did when we were still kids. Now we're at different points in life, moving on to different things. Thru his eyes I see how much I've changed...from the past when I wanted to be a doctor and having a little craze about motorcycles, to now, going into the arts...and far far away from being a doctor and not really giving a shit abt vehicles as long as they got me from place to place without me having to smell funny or sweat. Yeah. so my path wasn't really that straightforward when i was young...so many things happened after tt which made me change my mind...the pple whom i've met in these few years making so much difference in my life. I could tell he was rather shocked. But i'm glad tt he still felt I had certain characteristics which hadn't changed, and most of all, that i'm not a kantang!!!
Yeah...then had a lift back from Joanne and Wayne -- the funky couple...who were so nice to call me after the talk at Chris' place ended. Saved me helluva lot of cabfare. =)
Today was supposed to go cycling at east coast wif Jiayee and my JC class. In the end....all of them played us out so we decided not to go. How sad. I need another tan....getting white again... So ended up practicing singing with Ivan and then going for a SSO concert at the esplanade. The songs were mostly quite famous...and the percussions did really interesting stuff...was quite fascinated with them for a while. And the conductor was damn animated. It was a guest conductor la and he's quite a huge fella. Almost fell aslp at the last part tho, cos it went kinda slow before the end so was yawning and all.
Yup...then came home and ended up watching badminton World Championships together wif my mom, who kept squealing at every smash. Goodness..she's even worse than me on court lor. But I think spending time with her is good...cos then it helps her to trust me, and perhaps understand me more, so she'll stop thinking that I'm this moron who seems to get fooled rather easily. And perhaps by driving her around i'll be able to gain her trust, and the car sometime soon!
