Stop This Train

No I'm not colour blind
I know the world is black and white
Try to keep an open mind but...
I just can't sleep on this tonight
Stop this train I want to get off and go home again
I can't take the speed it's moving in
I know I can't
But honestly won't someone stop this train

Don't know how else to say it, don't want to see my parents go
One generation's length away
From fighting life out on my own

Stop this train
I want to get off and go home again
I can't take the speed it's moving in
I know I can't but honestly won't someone stop this train

So scared of getting older
I'm only good at being young
So I play the numbers game to find a way to say that life has just begun
Had a talk with my old man
Said help me understand
He said turn 68, you'll re-negotiate
Don't stop this train
Don't for a minute change the place you're in
Don't think I couldn't ever understand
I tried my hand
John, honestly we'll never stop this train

See once in a while when it's good
It'll feel like it should
And they're all still around
And you're still safe and sound
And you don't miss a thing
'til you cry when you're driving away in the dark.

Singing stop this train I want to get off and go home again
I can't take this speed it's moving in
I know I can't
Cause now I see I'll never stop this train

Quote of the Day

"no expectations and subsequently, no disappointments"

Took this off a friend's blog. I do so feel like I need to do this. Cos recently I just keep setting myself up for disappointment. And it is getting to be a pain in the arse.

But honestly. How is it possible to have no expectations with regard to sthg/someone? Doesn't that mean you'd have to detach yourself from whatever it is and not care anymore? And when that happens... can you possibly 're-attach' previously existing emotions? I think not. And once one becomes successful at detaching... it's time to move on.

Bz as a beeeee

疯掉了la... this week is just absolutely crazy for me lor... but for some reason... I'm surviving, and actually feeling a little motivated. Damn stressed... but motivated.

And it's funny but I think God seems to have planted little surprises, or should we say, small mercies for me the past few days... just to keep me going. And I'm glad :)

My poor baby's sick... and I'm feeling the onset of some bug too. But... at my mother's instruction, been drinking some herbal tea thing and so far managed to keep the bug away. But hugs for my dear anyways...since I got no time to go visit!

Kyoto (Part III)

Ok finally done with my posts on Japan! Yes I know I damn slow... and no despite the amt of photos I only went to Japan once..last yr in Dec. Haha. Now I can finally start on the other holiday photos :p

So here's more scenes of Kyoto...first there's the train on the way there...

Taken from the train station at Osaka. V amused by the conductor. I mean, u dun really get to see them all dressed up with gloves and hat and all here...

Then inside the train...

And finally, in Kyoto. Quite proud of this pic cos I think the angle is funky. Thing is, dun quite rem how I decided to take it tho... heh

This pic was taken outside the train station in Kyoto. This is how I'd always imagined a Japanese suburb to be. Don't u think the colour of the sky is such a brilliant blue?

2 ladies on a rickshaw. The guy pulling it looked quite funky. The shoes he wore also looked quite interesting... soft enough to be comfortable, but I'm sure they were supposed to be quite durable. On the right is some decor at the front of a Kabuki Theatre we passed by. Pity I didn't get to watch any performances while I was there.. but everything so chio, I think it was quite enough entertainment already.

So there! My posts are finally done! Onward to the next holiday... :p
