So anyway....finally managed to catch City of God with Chonghan on monday. My first R(A) show leh!! Plus we were both technically underaged somemore....but I guess the lady at the counter decided to be nice and close one eye even tho she checked our ids. Twas an extremely violent show i must say. There wasn't a scene where someone wasn't shot. There was like so much blood and pple dying juz like flies lor! Then we went to buy stationary after tt....spent so much on pens and notebooks all! But tis gd la, before sch starts, to get new stuff then u'll feel encouraged to study and do work!

Today was also the first day of sch for me....since monday is my free day. Started the day off rather badly i must say. First of all my hair was too long so the back part was sticking out. Juz a few strands!! Sticking out like a sore thumb. -_- and I didn't wanna wash my hair early in the morn. So juz went to sch lidat lor. Then on the train there was this bloody somesort of indian foreign worker who sat next to me and kept invading my space! He kept brushing his arm agst mine..cos he was moving ard and looking at stuff and all. !@#$%^& Was so pissed off....scowled all the way into sch. Shane so cute...i was telling him tt I really felt like slapping the guy on the train and he msged back "Don't make ur hand black". Ahaha...so cute. And my first lec was rather boring. I guess it's quite a 'keng' module....cos the lecturer kept giving boring definitions. But i suppose it's also cos he's quite long winded. Hope friday's one is better.

Had a meeting with Jo, Bern and Wayne about how to intro the CGLs during welcome tea and all. And we had a gd laugh about things and all la. I really enjoy working together with those guys cos they're so nice and it feels so much like family! I juz hope and pray tt our frenship will last.....and tt we'll be able to work well as a team for the CGLs.

Then went to cut my hair.....feels better now..but doesn't look v much better tho. Feels better cos it's thinner and not so hot la. And rushed for catechist meeting in church after dinner. Oh! Forgot to say tt i managed to zap some notes in the lib before leaving sch. Was rather surprised at myself. Cos I mean.... I hardly go into the photocopying room lor. I hate it so much. I'm there earliest like usually only halfway thru the sem when assignments are due and I need quotes. And today was the first day of sch and I was zapping readings. Sigh. Everyone was so shocked. esp Julian. He remarked tt it was such a change frm last sem. Heh. Well, I'm attempting la....to get my life back in order....to study harder and make the most out of uni. Hopefully push my CAP up and do hons. :/

Yup...in other thoughts....the date of the showcase grows nearer and nearer. I can't stop thinking about it...but there's no time for me to practice either. Sianz. A little stressed..but excited. Had a thought while in the shower juz now. I can't quite believe the person I've become...as in...Cell group leader coordinator... previous arts comm member...vice-head of theatre ministry...assistant director of upcoming musical... among other things. AND! actually having a performance of my own....singing and acting together. Then juz now my catechist coordinator told me tt he had planned for me to be camp chief during our upcoming camp for the sec 2s....and he said he needed someone fierce. Heh...i guess it's not exactly a compliment but I'm really honoured tt he actually thinks I can do the job. I've been so blessed and given so many opportunities by pple....it's a really good feeling. But scary too cos u can't have too many blanket moments and u can't really choose to be alone by urself anymore....the weight of responsibilities can sometimes be overbearing. And I'm not quite sure how things are eventually gonna work out, and whether I can live up to other's expectations or even my own expectations.

Gee... I feel somewhat scared..yet excited about what God has in store for me. Well....we shall see.....

National Day. Didn't do much...went to church lor...and then came home to watch NDP on tv. Altho I'm not like super patriotic I guess I quite like watching the celebrations on tv. Afterwhich Mark wanted to meet up for a while. Hope u feel better after talking ya... things are not as bad as u think they are. Then after tt Chonghan wanted to watch City of God, which is R(A) by the way but he wanted to give it a try anyway. Guess wat happened when we reached there? The tix were sold out.

So we're trying again tmw(or today actually). Heh. Then we went to sit by the Singapore River and talk...catch up...cos it's been a long while since we heard frm him...after the time when Avi left for Melbourne...so we were juz wondering wassup wif him lor. Well.... he's doing fine....only thing is still unable to log into our blog so been unable to post stuff. Also..his com has been down (again!) cos he didn't install any antivirus.

Anyway...what i really wanted to write about was what I been doing for the past few hours of today...which was rehearsing for the showcase which is scheduled for the 18th. One good thing...I'm supposed to be a 'couple' with the cute guy!! Today not so exciting la cos he wasn't around anyway. But i suppose my happiness is quite shortlived cos we dun end up as a happy couple for the song la. Our relationship ends with him saying "Shut up, Bitch!!" But oh well....better than nothing....ahahahaha

Twas quite a riot I think....terribly hilarious, all the blockings tt we managed to come up with today. Am so tempted to say it all out...but I won't spoil the fun for those of u who are coming!! Guess I can bitch about stuff or reveal stuff next week la, after the show is over. In the meantime..I've juz gotta conserve my voice and hope and pray tt i dun fall sick this week!

I guess altho I am stressed with this, I am enjoying it immensely...and hopefully it'd give me a gd start to this sem! Since I've been wanting to do sthg different to my life these few mths I guess I've finally gotten the chance liao!

Had a rather long day today...played badminton in the morning with Jiayee, Adeline, Ivan, Mark and Ee wa. Got mildly irritated with myself for playing so 'lousily'...like all my shots kept going into the net and stuff lidat la. And I guess I'm wishing tt the hols didn't end so fast. Today was like the last time we could play badminton in Tampines for a long long time liao. The next few sessions will prob be in clementi...

Yup..but my mood changed when we went to have lunch. Had sushi!! Whoopee! Twas damn gd man..Genki sushi is really quite reasonable. During lunch I was asking Ivan to help me with my biography that I have to submit to the musical course's instructor so tt he cld put it into the programme for the showcase we're putting up. When he asked me to do it, I tried....and only managed like 2 lines. I mean, it's so weird to think of urself in third person..plus the fact tt i'm not like super experienced theatre wise and all lor. I mean...the limit was like 200 words la....I'm sure the rest of them wrote like 1000. Read a few of the ones tt were sent out already and feel rather inferior. But oh well...heck la..Ivan helped me with it liao..and I guess it's juz sthg tt needs to be done...bo pian. Will hafta be concentrating on practicing the songs for the next few days liao cos we only have abt a week to rehearse...and I'm super awful at memorising lines. Which reminds me! Yesterday we filmed the FOC play at Holy Family church. It was quite fun to redo the play again, together with the dance...and for the first time, I remembered my lines!!!! And managed to do a gd job of being a bitch. Heh..can't wait for the CD to be burnt then can watch it...

Yup...then later in the evening I went to watch Dim Sum Dollies . That was really good....the jokes tt they had...really quite hilarious lor! I'd encourage those who haven't watched to go and watch. Their last show is on national day....1030pm. Oh. It's national day already....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!! heh. Yar..so had a gd time watching it...together with my dad, and after tt we went for dinner. My dad's taking an MBA course in NUS too....I wonder how weird i'd feel to have him come to sch with me and have classes. Since sch hasn't started yet, he's already like asking me qns about bidding and all. I seriously hope I dun hafta end up doing all his admin for him. Altho I will end up being the most likely target cos I'm sure his secretary can't do tt for him.

Yup...then went to Europa after tt, to join Bern, Wayne, Joanne, Mark Chen and Nick Netto who were already partying there. (Hmm...I wonder why Mel and Shane didn't come?) Quite enjoyed myself..cos the company was nice and the music was alright. Only thing is tt they had short performances by a live band which, towards the end started shrieking into the mics cos the music was too loud. That was the most awful part la. The crowd was quite old also...and a few SPGs were around la. We decided to leave halfway thruout their last perf cos the music was getting too loud and quite bad....we walked to Katong there and had prata and all.

Pretty interesting as it turned out..the 4 CGL coordinators were left. I am looking forward to working with Jo, Bern and Wayne and so far I've gotten to know them better and it's so fun to hang out with them!

*yawn*....sorry la....this entry seems rather boring....no energy left liao since it's late and I been out the whole day. Think I'll write more tmw if I feel v inspired to put sthg patriotic down abt our cty. haha...we'll c.

Keep the Adrenaline going...

The cute guy sent me home today!!!! (Altho he also sent the other 'easterners' home, but I'm still happy that I got to spend the longest time in the car with him cos he sent me back last!!) Yeah...he is still as funny as ever, *swoons* and we were laughing and joking so much during class. So fun!! Today was kinda like our last class altogether supposedly cos now we're rehearsing for the showcase already, which is confirmed on the 18th of Aug. Am nervously excited about it..cos I'm scared I cock up and go off key or sthg...then v paiseh. Plus the rest of them are like so talented somemore.

Was just thinking as I sat in the cutie's car today...how limited I am in knowledge of lit and all....how little I read, and perhaps tt I'm not quite cut out to be a lit student after all. Was silent most of the time, cos they all seemed to be in the same circle of things and all. Then he being the nice guy tried to get me to talk. Sigh. I realised now why I'm so stressed whenever he's ard liao..cos he's so angmoh-fied lor. I'm not quite sure his backgrd but he seems to have an American accent...so I assume he's sthg like an ABC? Either tt he prob studied most of his life in the US. So...when I talk to him I also end up having a weirdo accent. Tis damn irritating cos I know how freaking fake it sounds. -_-

Sigh. Anyway... played badminton this morning....twas quite ok la...not very exciting....but I bought a new bag and new shorts!! =) And quite cheap somemore! So am very pleased about that. In other news...someone told me about this song today. Am thinking about it...and the more I listen to it, the more I love it! I can so imagine sitting somewhere in the US...where it's raining..and I'm looking out of the window, with a cup of tea in hand..and my beloved sitting beside me...with this playing in the background! Heh..I juz have something with rain, and looking at the rain la. I think I was influenced abit by the scenes in One Fine Day and a few other movies which I can't really rem. Ok.....here's the song. (If u wanna download it, it's from the soundtrack of My Best Friend's Wedding)

The Way You Look Tonight -- Tony Bennett

Someday, when I'm awfully low
When the world is cold,
I will feel a glow just thinking of you...
And the way you look tonight.

Oh, but you're lovely, with your smile so warm
And your cheek so soft,
There is nothing for me to love you...
Just the way you look tonight.

With each word your tenderness grows
Tearing my fear apart...
And that laugh, that wrinkles your nose, touches my foolish heart

Lovely... never never change,
Keep that breathless charm
Won't you please arrange it?
'Cause I love you...
Just the way you look tonight

Well...tomorrow's finally the filming of the FOC play. I still can't rem my lines. Oh well...what to do...then my mom wants me to go to Ikea with her tmw. Maybe I can trick her into buying stuff for me...muahahaha....

Oh, and sthg totally out of point. Have I ever told u how much I enjoy looking at the lizards in my house? They're damn cool lor...eating up all the pesky insects tt buzz ard everywhere. Lotsa pple think Lizards are gross...I think they're like a million gazillion times better than the ugly stinking roaches. The lizards juz do things with such stealth. It's really cool. Yeah..i love lizards!!

I have lots to be happy about!!

Been kinda running on adrenaline the past few days..altho there has been a little fatigue here and there..but generally I been v happy with the recent turn of events! I suppose it's mostly the adrenaline of having performances soon...My showcase for the course tt i been taking is coming up soon..and I guess perhaps until now we've only juz rehearsed like one song so I'm relatively stress-free for a while. But the first proper rehearsal is starting tmw and I can't wait to see which of the other songs will be allocated to me!

There's also the filming of our FOC play on thursday, which although I haven't quite memorised my lines I'm looking forward to it cos I'm quite anxious to see how the whole play turns out on film. I suppose the only drawback of performing in sthg is tt u dun quite get the luxury of watching your performance!

Then...with the whole fervour of the badminton thing...I'll be playing badminton with Jiayee in a few hours!! Am very very eager man...hopefully i won't be so nua on court!

Was at a choral workshop earlier today and the instructor was really good. I mean.. a song could sound so different, juz by changing the way u sing it by a little bit. And in a sense I feel inspired to wanna join a choir even though I've never been in one. It's juz amazing how putting many voices together can make things sound so beautiful. It's much more different than singing pop solos or even broadway musicals. I always imagine the choral music as church music, and the angels singing it in some lovely cathedral made out of stone and done majestically...

Oh anyway...tis late liao and I need to wake up early for badminton! Did have some thoughts on the way home yesterday..but I suppose I will write them down tmw. =)
